Directions to Hotel Cala d'Or
Not long ago, the name Cala d'Or referred to just one of the many pretty calas, each with its own fishing village, that dotted Mallorca's south east coast. Resort development has joined up these villages into a single string, often now called Cala d'Or. Development has been quite restrained however, and the general style is low key and satisfactorily Mediterranean.
The Hotel Cala d'Or is in a slightly elevated position amongst pine woods just off the beach in the original Cala d'Or. It is the only hotel in this quiet residential area, because it was built before present regulations were created. Would suit travellers looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. Comments from past guests are largely favourable, although some say that room choice can be important here, as size and quality may differ. Also, access to the pool and beach areas may be difficult for guests with mobility difficulties because of the steps.
