Description

Meet your tour guide at the fascinating Cathedral of Palma. Your guide, who is an author, will share details about the building’s history and mythical secrets. From the cathedral, you’ll be able to see the Parc de la Mar and the royal gardens. While taking in the magnificent views, you’ll hear stories about the park and surrounding area. Walk down the shaded avenue of palm trees and reach the seafront promenade. Here you’ll find the maritime trading exchange, built in the beautiful Gothic style. Only a few meters away is the Consolat de Mar, which bears witness to Mallorca's important seafaring tradition. From here, you’ll head to the old town with its winding alleys. Here your guide will tell some of the exciting stories set in the old town. Visit one of the oldest pastry shops in the city and taste an ensaimada, a specialty of Mallorca. Enjoy a delicious hot drink, water, or soft drink with your ensaimada. From here, the author will lead you to the oldest part of the city of Palma, where the Romans founded the city of Palma about 2150 years ago. Along the way, pass the historic town hall, the prominent church of St. Eulalia, and the Jewish quarter. The Episcopal Palace, the Diocesan Museum, and the Almudaina Palace are your final stops before the tour comes to an end.
