From humble beginnings in 1940, Bestard has grown to become a world class maker of climbing, trekking and general outdoor footwear. Bestard boots and shoes are semi handcrafted and the design, development and quality control processes they are subjected to are both thorough and exacting.
One of the key points of the philosophy of the company is to maintain the highest quality and to use the most advanced technology and materials available. All new materials are tested by an independent laboratory to ensure they are suitable for the proposed application.
Prototypes of new models are rigorously tested at Bestard premises, as well as being subjected to field testing by professional users. In additions, models fitted with Gore-Tex (reg) linings are tested and certified by the Gore laboratory in Germany.
Bestard offer comprehensive advice to customers regarding selecting the correct boot or shoe to the proposed activity, and also ensuring correct fit. Quality control is rigorous but, in the rare event of a failure, Bestard provides a full after-sales service for its products.
