Capocorb Vell
Mallorca
Capocorb Vell is the most important prehistoric site on Mallorca and it was declared a heritage site in 1931. The complex consists of a stone built village consisting of a number of small dwellings connected in a maze-like layout to 2 square talaiots (towers), and 3 separate round talaiots.
Because the place continued to be occupied into the Middle Ages, it's not entirely typical as a Talaiolitic settlement due to the constant changes. Many stones have been removed for road building and to construct more modern farm houses nearby.
Open Friday to Wednesday 10:00 to 16:30, entry 2.00 Euros.
