Palma de 4-Hour Sailing Trip with Swim Stop, SUP & Tapas

Mallorca

Fifty Shades of Blue: 4 hours of sailing through the Bay of Palma with up to 11 guests. Swimming in a turquoise bay, SUP, tapas and soft drinks included.

Highlights

  • Sail on a 50-foot Elan yacht with the engine turned off
  • Depart from La Lonja in the heart of Palma's Old Town
  • Swim and paddle in a quiet cove
  • Optionally, you can also book an e-foil lesson

Description

This is a real sailing trip, not a motorboat ride with a mast. As soon as we leave the harbor of La Lonja behind us, the engine is switched off, and the Elan 50 does what it was built to do. She heels into the wind and glides through the bay at 7 to 8 knots, accompanied only by the sound of the water. Take the helm, pull on a sheet, or simply make yourself comfortable on the foredeck as Palma Cathedral slowly recedes behind you.

The boat is family-owned, and the skippers are locals who live on the island. Depending on the wind, we will sail westwards to Illetes and Cala Comtesa or eastwards along the cliffs past Cala Blava. In doing so, we choose the quietest and least crowded bay, which the big party boats cannot do.

When we are at anchor, the water displays all shades from deep navy blue to crystal-clear turquoise. That's where our name comes from. Jump into the sea from the stern, paddleboard to the rocks, or stay in the shade and enjoy cold drinks and a selection of tapas. With a maximum of 11 guests on board, no one has to fight for a spot on the sundeck.

Fancy a bit more speed? You can also book an e-foil lesson and learn to glide half a meter above the water on an electric hydrofoil board. Most beginners are already standing confidently on the board during the first hour.

The return trip will be under sail when the wind picks up in the afternoon. This is often the most enjoyable sailing of the whole day.
