Description

Explore Mallorca’s capital with a guided walking tour (1.5–2 hours) led by VINOSENZ guides. Stroll through shady avenues, hidden alleys, and lively squares, learning about Palma’s history from Romans to modern times. Visit city palaces’ courtyards, admire modern sculptures in Parc de la Mar near the cathedral, and relax by the fountains at Almudaina Palace’s royal gardens. The route includes “La Lonja,” the historic maritime trade exchange, along with tips on museums, cafés, rooftop bars, and shopping.

After the walking tour, enjoy free time to explore Palma before boarding the “Tren de Sóller” at Plaza España’s old train station. This historic “Orange Express” train has operated since 1912, traveling through the Tramuntana Mountains to the town of Sóller.

In Sóller, explore the old town independently. Visit the cathedral on the market square, browse art galleries, or walk the pedestrian street “Carrer de Sa Lluna,” famous for century-old colorful shops. Take the “Red Lightning,” a historic wooden tram, from Sóller to Puerto Sóller. Once a small fishing district, Puerto Sóller now offers a charming marina area with seaside restaurants. Recommended activities include walking around the marina, sampling local orange ice cream, and tasting fresh prawns. A 35-minute walk to the lighthouse offers panoramic views of the bay.

Return by tram to Sóller and then by train back to Palma. This tour can be booked in reverse order. It is designed for independent exploration, with flexible free time on the train and in Sóller.
