Sa Calobra
Mallorca
Sa Calobra lies in a truly stunning area of Mallorca, at the edge of the sea, and at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains. It has a small beach which can be overcrowded at times, and just a short distance away is the outlet of the Torrente de Pareis river, which has its own tiny pebble beach.
The easy way to get here is on one of the regular cruise boats from Sóller or Port de Pollença - rather tougher is the impressively winding and precipitous 14 km tar road which includes one 360 degree turn and many others not quite so tight. The toughest way in would be a climb gown the gorge - only in dry weather, and only for experienced climbers.
