Mallorca Bus Services Information

Most of the regional bus services in Mallorca (outside Palma de Mallorca) are operated by Transport de les Illes Balears (tib), who also operate the mainline train service. A guide to their services, with outline maps, timetables, and tinks to trains, underground and other services is available on the excellent CTM site in four languages (click the image to go to this external site):

Bus services within Palma de Mallorca are operated by the Empresa Municipal de Transports (Municipal Transport Company). This company also operates some special services, such as the Tren Turistic, which runs along the 6 kilometres of beach between Can Pastilla and S'Arenal. Their website, which carries detailed information on their bus routes and timetables is accessible by clicking the image below:

A feature of the bus and train services in Mallorca is the major hub at the Plaça d'Espanya, where all the services come together. This point is very central to many places of interest in Palma, including the main shopping streets.

Palma also has a sightseeing bus service, using open top buses in very distinctive livery - these are an excellent way to get around Palma because you can get on and off the bus as many times as you like provided the ticket is valid. The service operates all year round, although hours vary slightly with the seasons, and runs every 20 minutes, with 16 stops all over the city. Full details of all the stops, and ticket prices on this page.
