Koldo Royo's latest venture, the Aquiara, occupies the same premises on the Palma de Mallorca waterfront as before, but presents a very different style. The ground floor is now a tapas bar while upstairs, with views of Palma's harbour, is a restaurant for groups and banquets.
As you'd expect from the man who held a Michelin star for 18 years, the quality of the tapas and pinchos is first class, and the prices are reasonable. There's also a special set menu at lunchtimes. A great spot for a decent feed in relaxed and contemporary surroundings. The best tapas in Palma? Probably.
