Ritzi Restaurant
Mallorca
Ritzi Restaurant and Lounge Bar in Porto Portals is an Italian restaurant in a fantastic location on the corner of the port. It first took our interest because it is one place along with Cappuccino in the port that is busy almost every night, even in winter. They have a wonderful outdoor dining area that is covered in winter and remains warm from the electric heaters. Upstairs is the fashionable Ritzi Lounge Bar, perfect for an aperitif or nightcap with unbeatable views of the surrounding harbour.
The food is typical Italian fare with a range of pizzas, pastas, fish and meat dishes. The food is of the highest quality. I would like to be able to compliment all areas of the menu however I’m afraid both my friend and I were drawn to the meat dishes, perhaps due to the couple next to us having ordered two delicious looking steaks.
I had the lamb cutlets and my dining partner the beef medallions. My cutlets were deliciously cooked and were not skinny like you often find in some restaurants. They lay in a rich dark sauce and were accompanied by two dollops of mash, some green beans, broccoli and carrots. The two beef medallions looked equally as delicious and were served with some thinly sliced potatoes and vegetables. I’m a little embarrassed to say that our two plates were left as if they had been licked clean within a matter of minute; maybe we should have had that starter to curb our hunger. Either way the food was superb, the service professional and the atmosphere a busy one.
If anyone has dined on any of the other dishes please let us know by writing about your experience in the easy user comments section below, it would be greatly appreciated!!
