Roman city of Pollentia

Located within the boundaries of Alcúdia, the Roman town of Pollentia is one of Mallorca's most important historic sites. Excavations have been going on for many years and have so far unearthed only part of the city.

Several areas of Pollentia are open to the public including the well preserved 1st century theatre while a number of other excavated areas remain closed at this time. The whole site covers an area of around 12 hectares.

The small entry fee includes access to the nearby museum containing artefacts from the site.
